June came with good news for one of the top Indian jeweller- Nirav Modi.
The Nirav Modi Orchid Ainra necklace was auctioned for a whopping INR 13,01,63,212 at the recently held Christies Hong Kong Magnificent Jewels sale held on June 02, 2015. But, the catch is that this wasn’t the first time that this necklace has been auctioned at Christies. The Orchid Ainra necklace was first auctioned in 2011 and this year the necklace sold at a phenomenal 71% appreciation from last time. This clearly indicates that there is an increasing demand from collectors for signed Nirav Modi jewels and marking him as a jeweller whose jewels can be invested in.
The pendant necklace is a delicate masterpiece studded with three important diamonds making the pendant and Nirav Modi patented Ainra cut making the linked chain, for a complete diamond look.
The necklace features two D colour internally flawless (IF) pear-shaped diamonds weighing 10.02 and 2.66 carats. These pear shaped diamonds are spaced by a Fancy Purplish Red hexagonal-shaped diamond.
