Living a digital life, as we are now, most jewellers are eyeing Instagram as their sole marketing tactic to sell jewellery. But is selling jewellery through Instagram that easy? It certainly looks easy but when you start understanding the ever-changing algorithm of this complex platform, you are bound to feel boggled and light headed.
Good imagery is the first thing that attracts the consumer on social media and lures them to shop! Instagram is an image-based platform and there can never be enough images to create materials for all the features that this platform offers, but one thing remains common that is good imagery.
Let’s dive into the importance of a great photo!
- – It makes your jewellery look more attractive.
- – Helps you to tell your brand story visually.
- – Lures the audience on social media.
- – The more attractive the photo is, the more engagement there would be.
- – Therefore, more chances of PURCHASE!
As appealing as the benefits are, the thought of carrying them out can seem daunting. However, we need not run around looking for expensive solutions to conquer Instagram branding. We can simply utilize the smartphone that we all carry around with us everyday more efficiently and use it to fuel the need for good photographs & videos for our social media platforms.

Preeta even discussed the special features on our smartphones and various editing apps, and by using them I have been able to use my jewellery images for promotions and marketing quite easily. The workshop was also very well structured and easily understandable for all beginners.

An absolute amateur at photography & also someone who doesn’t have the patience to invest time in editing my pictures, Preeta’s photography workshop worked as a game changer for me. We got introduced to using the most simple features imbibed within our smartphones to click clearer & more focused jewellery pictures and some super swift apps to edit the same. Also, some expert tips, tricks, do’s & dont’s. The class gets you started in a pretty detailed manner & then the magic you create depends on how much you practice & improvise on your own visualisations. One of my best investments towards knowledge gaining during the lockdown. 👍🏻👍🏻
