A glitzy night… full of brilliant sparkles and the entire jewellery industry gathered under one roof to honour houses of immense talent and those who have put in hours of efforts to create jewellery pieces that wowed everybody. This annual award night is organized by Retail Jeweller India Awards team. To see the nominations in major categories read the previous story here.
The best ‘Accessory of the Year’ award went to an ornate perfume holder bottle with two enameled peacocks perched on each side crafted by Hazoorilal Legacy. The nominations included a range of gem crusted accessories from pens to key chains, to belts and eye wear.
The best ‘Coloured Gemstone Jewellery of the Year’ award was shared between a pair of Emerald and Tanzanite peacock ear studs from Anmol Jewellers and multi colored gemstone studded peacock pendant by Ghanasingh Jewels & Gems Pvt. Ltd. with a baroque Pearl center.
The best ‘Diamond Jewellery of the Year’ award went to the fancy shaped Diamond hand ornament studded in white and rose Gold by KGK Entice. The hand ornament can be easily detached and can be worn separately as a bracelet, pendant and a ring.
The best ‘Platinum Jewellery of the Year’ award was bagged by Orra for their dream catcher inspired earrings made in Platinum and delicately studded with Diamonds.
The decision of ‘Heritage Jewellery of the Year’ award was a tough one and the judges unable to decide one winner, gave the award to two jewellers- Kays Jewels Pvt. Ltd. for their Pearl and uncut Diamond studded heritage necklace earring set along with a Emerald, Ruby and uncut Diamond south Indian long necklace from Tibarumals Jewellers.
‘Innovative Jewellery of the Year’ award nominees varied from a range of fresh ideas for hand and ear ornaments. The final award was a tie between diamond studded jhumki earrings inspired by a bird cage by Abhushan Diamonds & Gold Pvt. Ltd and a floral gold one-off multi finger ring by Adgaonkar Saraf Pvt. Ltd.
The ‘Gold Jewellery of the Year’ award went to C. Krishniah Chetty & Sons for their filigree hoop earrings with uncut Diamond studded elephant motifs.
In the ‘Couture Jewellery of the Year’ award section, various fascinating pieces competed and the winner was enamel, gold filigree and diamond studded, peacock inspired ear cuffs from Jewellery designer Shobha Asar.
The wedding jewellery section had three categories- Colored Gemtones, Diamonds and all Gold. For the ‘Gold Vivaha Jewellery of the Year’ category many elaborate wedding sets competed from jewellers across the country but the elaborate gold chain, pearl string and kundan polki studded set from Rare heritage By Mehta Emporium was the proud winner.
For the next wedding jewellery category of best ‘Coloured Gemstone Vivaha Jewellery of the Year’ award, the award went to the deserved Hazoorilal Legacy for their Ruby and Diamond necklace fit for a modern queen. The necklace and earring set has bold Diamond flowers sitting on a bed of closely linked Rubies mimicking a red fabric base.
Amongst all the massive diamond jewellery sets that competed for the last of the wedding jewellery category – best ‘Diamond Vivaha Jewellery of the Year’ award, the winner was a diamond choker cum long linked chain necklace by Dwarkadas Chandumal Jewellers.
One of the most looked forward category of the year is the ‘Jewellery Designer of the Year’ award and this year Mira Gulati, owner and founder of Mirari Jewels won this prestigious award for her diamond studded elephant earring holding Tanzanite beaded string in their trunks.
In the marketing categories, the ‘Print Campaign of the Year’ was bagged by Abaran Timeless Jewellery, the ‘Radio Campaign of the Year’ was won by Ranka Jewellers, the ‘Social Media Campaign of the Year’ won by Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri jewellers and the ‘ TV Campaign of the Year’ was won by NAC Jewellers. For a complete ‘360 Marketing Campaign of the Year’, Prince Jewellery and Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri shared the award.
The last two categories were related to retail presence of jewellers across India, and the award for the best ‘Retail Presence of the Year’ award went to P. N. Gadgil Jewellers and for the best ‘New Showroom of the Year’ went to Dass Jewellers for their latest showroom in Nagpur.
For all those who could not attend the grand award night, the Grand Premier National Telecast of the 11th Gemfields and Nazraana Retail Jeweller India Awards 2015 would be on October 11th Sunday at 7.30pm on NDTV Goodtimes. So, save the date and time for leisure viewing of this 90 minute premier!!!
